A short station delay can become useful logic practice when a child solves one clear train-routing challenge with a beginning, a mistake, and a fix. The best use of that time is a contained activity they can pick up in a browser, pause when the train arrives, and leave without a streak or reward countdown hanging over the rest of the day.
At Platform 4, the delay board changed again as Lena shifted her tote bag from one shoulder to the other and handed the family phone to eight-year-old Sam. His pencil case was poking out of his backpack, his snack had already been eaten, and the platform was filling with people checking the board.

A compact challenge gives a family a clean stopping point. Sam could finish the route, see the railway respond, and hand the phone back without being asked to protect a streak or open a reward box.
